DSD // ANSONMK1
// Description
The Avro Anson was the RAF’s first monoplane with retractable undercarriage, introduced in 1936 as a maritime reconnaissance aircraft and later widely employed as a trainer and light transport. Nicknamed “Faithful Annie,” thousands served throughout the Second World War in a wide variety of roles.
This DSD Simulations package recreates the military Anson Mk I exclusively, with an emphasis on period authenticity. Two distinct cowl configurations are included – the standard early-war type and the smooth, later-style cowls – allowing for accurate representation of specific airframes.
All models are built natively for Microsoft Flight Simulator, ensuring optimal performance, modern PBR rendering, and full compatibility with the latest simulator standards. Each aircraft features a fully clickable cockpit, complete with authentic instrumentation and functional systems appropriate to the Mk I. Immersive details such as opening cockpit windows, functional bomb bay doors, and crew station interactivity enhance both realism and atmosphere.
This pack is designed for enthusiasts of classic aviation, warbird displays, and historical RAF operations, offering a faithful and versatile representation of one of the most significant British twin-engine aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s.
